The Local Governing Body exists to support and contribute to the strategic development of our School.

Whilst the Headteacher is responsible for the day to day leadership and management of the school, the Local Governing Body is involved in overseeing the curriculum, pupil welfare, premises, personnel and school finances at a strategic level. They monitor and evaluate the school’s effectiveness and hold the school to account for the standards achieved and quality of education.

At Marshland St James Primary & Nursery School we are fortunate to have a dedicated and highly skilled team of Governors who are actively involved in the life of the school and make regular visits to see and support the work of the school.

Our Local Governing Body is made up of representatives of parents, the local community, the Church and school staff.

A small fee may be charged to cover costs if a large number of copies are requested.
