An internet we trust: exploring reliability in the online world
Safer Internet Day celebrates the amazing range of information and opportunities online, and its potential to inform, connect and inspire us, whilst also looking at how young people can separate fact from fiction.
Your children will be taking part in this important event on Tuesday 8th February 2022 There will be access to the watching virtual assemblies, activities to complete , and support to help improving their understanding of the idea of 'Trust Online' by exploring the concept of what is real and what is fake.
In order to support your child, we are sharing the official Safer Internet Day Parents and Carers Resource Pack, which you can find below. Just click on the documents to view or download...and please take the time to have a discussion with your children about what you can and can't trust online.
We have also provided a link to the National Online Safety website, where you will be able to download the app (free of charge). This allows you access to weekly guides about online safety, as well as a selection of free webinars.
As a parent or carer you play a key role in helping your child to stay safe online.
