Marshland St James Primary and Nursery School

"A Member of the Diocese of Ely Multi-Academy Trust"

Everyone who has a child in our school is a member of the Friends of the School.

Committee meetings, to which all parents are invited, are held about twice a term and are friendly and informal. They are usually held in the evening at the school, with refreshments provided.

The parents who attend try to come up with ideas for interesting and fun activities and events to raise money to buy extra resources for our school. Sometimes events are planned at the school, but the Friends also link up with village organisations and support their fundraising events too.

The Friends of the School have provided funds to buy musical instruments, lots of books for the fiction and non-fiction libraries, a big tape/CD recording machine, for performances by Theatre in Education Companies and Norwich Puppet Theatre in school, dictionaries for our Year 6 children when they leave, a school book mark presented to all who leave our school, and presents for the children at Christmas time amongst many other things in the last year or so.

Our school deserves our support. Our children can only benefit.
